The article presents the author's views on her career as a psychologist and the challenges in working with a team in a safe house for women who escaped sexual slavery in Great Britain. Topics include the effect of sex trafficking on victims' mental and physical health, the nature of human trafficking experiences, and the effectiveness of counselling to help victims recover. Also discussed are the cases of two women who were sexually abused.
