The solubility of pyrochlore (NaCa)Nb2O6F was studied experimentally in the NaF–H2O system covering both the homogeneous region of hydrothermal solutions and the region of fluid immiscibility in the NaF concentration range from 0.1 to 16 mol kg–1 H2O at 800°С and a pressure of 170–230 MPa. It was shown that the content of Nb in solutions saturated with pyrochlore and fluorite is in the range from 10–5 to 10–3 mol kg–1 H2O. A decrease in mNb is detected with an increasing NaF concentration in the region of fluid immiscibility. It is shown that the most likely forms of niobium in the studied fluoride solutions may be species of HNbO and NbO2F0. A comparative analysis of the experimental data indicates that the concentration of Nb in equilibrium with pyrochlore and fluorite in 10–2–10 m NaF solutions is 10–50 times higher than the concentration of Ta in equilibrium with microlite and fluorite.
