The numerical analysis is used by the finite element software to examine some influencing parameters, such as undrained shear strength and soil unit weight, and their effect on the bearing capacity of the pile. A total of 16 tests were made for circular and square piles with length to diameter ratio of 13. The study involves four values for undrained shear strength of 5, 10, 18, and 30 kPa and four values for the soil weight unit of 16.5, 17.5, 18.5, and 19.5 kN/m3 for each type of piles. The result showed an increase in bearing capacity along with increases in undrained shear strength and soil unit weight. Depending on the soil properties, the undrained shear strength, the soil unit weight, and also the length to diameter ratio, a failure load prediction equation has been presented. The equation was obtained from the regression analysis conducted using STATISTICA software. It has been found that the coefficient of determination (R2) of the proposed equation for a circular pile is about 95% and 94% for a square pile, which means that the equation possesses good agreement.
