The article is devoted to the metrological requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 of the new version of the current international standard, created after considering more than three thousand comments and proposals for its modification, in which the structure was updated, the scope of application was clarified and expanded, reference documents were updated, terminology was adjusted. This article is aimed at developing scientific and methodological recommendations on the metrological requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2019 and its application in practice. At the same time, the new version analyzes some problems of ensuring the reliability of measurement results, harmonization of regulatory and technical documents with international standards, metrological requirements, calibration of measuring instruments, units of measurement and other metrological requirements of the standard. Scientific and methodological recommendations have been developed for laboratories operating or claiming to confirm their competence. The standard has become an international benchmark for testing, as well as for calibration laboratories, which provide more reliable and reliable results. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
