The article describes the case of a 17-year-old African American male presented with a sore throat and fever of 38.3 degrees C of 4 days duration. Three days after the visit, the patient noticed his lips swelling and reported scrotal and anal swelling with extremely painful defecation. A diagnosis of Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (SJS) was made clinically based on epidermal sloughing in the mouth, urethra and anus with amoxicillin as the likely etiology.
