The paper tests the impact of knowledge about the basic elements of a business plan on intentions to start an entrepreneurial venture in tourism. Development banks, development funds, chambers of commerce, development agencies, commercial banks and the like recommend certain basic elements of a business plan. Based on the analysis of the recommended basic elements of a business plan, a research instrument was created for self-assessment of knowledge about the basic elements of a business plan. The main goal of this research was to examine the statistical significance of selfassessment of knowledge about the basic elements of a business plan and participation in business plan writing/presentation competitions in explaining the variance of entrepreneurial intention in tourism. In particular, the intention to start an entrepreneurial venture in tourism, and especially in other sectors, was analyzed. The results identified several key links of the business plan that positively correlate with respondents' intention to start tourism-related businesses. The work identified the need to continue the search for factors that can have an impact on the growth of the intention to start an entrepreneurial venture in tourism. This paper contributes to the reduction of the existing gap in the lack of understanding of the impact of the creation of business plans on business intentions in tourism. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
U radu se testira utjecaj znanja o osnovnim elementima poslovnog plana na namjere pokretanja poduzetničkog pothvata u turizmu. Razvojne banke, fondovi za razvoj, privredne komore, razvojne agencije, komercijalne banke i slično, preporučuju određene osnovne elemente poslovnog plana. Na osnovu analize preporučenih osnovnih elemenata poslovnog plana kreiran je istraživački instrument za samoprocjenu znanja o osnovnim elementima poslovnog plana. Glavni cilj ovog istraživanja bio je ispitati statističku značajnost samoprocjene znanja o osnovnim elementima poslovnog plana i sudjelovanje u natjecanjima pisanja/prezentiranja poslovnog plana u objašnjenju varijance poduzetničke namjere u turizmu. Posebno se analizirala namjera pokretanja poduzetničkog pothvata u turizmu, a posebno u drugim sektorima. Rezultati su identificirali nekoliko ključnih poveznica poslovnog plana koji pozitivno koreliraju s namjerom ispitanika za pokretanjem poduzeća vezanih uz turizam. Rad je identificirao potrebu za nastavljanjem potrage za faktorima koji mogu imati utjecaja na rast namjere pokretanja poduzetničkog pothvata u turizmu. Rad doprinosi smanjenju postojećeg jaza u nedostatku razumijevanja utjecaja izrade poduzetničkih planova na poduzetničke namjere u turizmu. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
