This article presents an interview with Irene Carroll, incoming chairwoman of the Local Authority Caterers Association (LACA) in Great Britain, about catering. when asked whether celebrity chef Jamie Oliver did more harm than good, Carroll said initially, he did more harm, as parents believed what he showed on television was happening across the board and caterers lost a huge amount of paid meals because of it. When asked whether School Food Trust (SFT) is doing enough to help nutritional guidelines, Carroll said the SFT has a part to play, as does LACA, but there must be a willingness from all parties to work together and maintain clear objectives.
