This study examines the variety of the different tastes in the popular music among the Israeli sociaty. It is reflected by the votes of listeneres, who ranked Galgalatz radio station charts every year over the years of 2000-2015. This assessmentes will present a detailed picture regarding the musical taste, style and tendency in the popular Israeli music. Through the radio's specific system to determine which music will be aired and which will not, It plays the "Gatekeepers" role for the listeners. Therefore this system has a significant influence to the music the listeners will be exposed to. Music escorts society as the soundtrack of life and it's culture mirror that reflects upon it. The radio as a culture manufacturer and a main player in the music industry takes a big part in the popular musical taste. The main findings of this study show that Pop music is the most loved and popular tune among the listeners, as to rock music has lost its power significantly. However over the years Mediterranean music had been in a constent climbing and became a part of the israeli musical D.N.A. It appeares in a high assemblage inside the popular mix among Israeli listeners. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
