Companies in this century, whether small, medium or large in their day-to-day functioning are faced with many ethical dilemmas and issues. The responsibilities of companies are enormous. In business, the path to success is very long and requires a lot of effort. Business ethics is an important part of every company and the driving force for achieving and sustaining success. Aim of the study is to evaluate and present business ethics and its role in the companies of Polog region, selfawareness of managers and employees about the importance of business ethics. The subject of this research paper is theoretically to present the importance of ethical principles as successful mechanisms for business development and the relation of ethics with the most important sectors of the companies such as: finance HRM, etc. Ethics has recently attracted much attention worldwide, especially after the financial crisis. The survey conducted by the World Economic Forum in Davos in 2010 in a total of 130,000 respondents from around the world indicated that two-thirds of the pollsters thought that "the current crisis is not just an economic crisis, but also a crisis of values and ethics" meaning that it is to a considerable extent also dedicated to the lack or disrespect of ethical norms and standards.
