This research was conducted in order to determine the opinions of the students regarding the processing of the 4th grade social studies course in elementary school with evidence-based learning. The research group of the study group consists of 17 primary school students in total, 17 of which are girls (53%) and 8 (47%) boys in Akyazı district of Sakarya in the academic year of 2015-2016. Appropriate sampling method was used in determining the study group. The qualitative research approach has been adopted and the data of the research has been obtained through a document review. The activities to be used in the action research were developed by researchers and presented to two field experts. In line with the opinions and suggestions from the experts, the activities were given the final form and the application for four weeks was passed. The data of the study were analyzed by content analysis. As a result of the research, it was found that very few of the fourthgrade primary school students liked the social studies lessons to be evidencebased, and that very few were against evidence-based learning. Students in need of help in extraordinary situations have indicated that the materials they need can be collected through "aid agencies", "official institutions" and "individual facilities". Bu araştırma ilkokul 4. sınıf sosyal bilgiler dersinin kanıt temelli öğrenme ile işlenmesine ilişkin olarak öğrencilerin görüşlerini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2015-2016 eğitim öğretim yılında Sakarya ilinin Akyazı ilçesinde öğrenim gören 9'u (%53) kız, 8'i (%47) erkek olmak üzere toplam 17 ilkokul dördüncü sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Çalışma grubunun belirlenmesinde uygun örnekleme yönteminden yararlanılmıştır. Nitel araştırma yaklaşımı benimsenerek gerçekleştirilen araştırmanın verileri doküman incelemesi yoluyla elde edilmiştir. Eylem araştırmasında yararlanılacak etkinlikler araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilmiş ve iki alan uzmanın görüşüne sunulmuştur. Uzmanlardan gelen görüş ve öneriler doğrultusunda etkinliklere son şekli verilmiş ve dört haftalık uygulamaya geçilmiştir. Araştırmanın verileri içerik analizi ile çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda ilkokul dördüncü sınıf öğrencilerinin tamamına yakınının sosyal bilgiler dersinin kanıt temelli olarak işlenmesini beğendikleri, çok azının kanıt temelli öğrenmeye karşı olduğu bulunmuştur. Öğrencilerin olağanüstü durumlarda yardıma ihtiyacı bulunan insanlara ihtiyaç duydukları malzemelerin "yardım kuruluşları", "resmi kurumlar" ve "bireysel imkânlar" aracılığıyla toplanabisleceğini ifade etmişlerdir. Ayrıca öğrenciler toplumsal olayları çözmede resmi kurum, kuruluş ya da sivil toplum örgütlerinin bir amaç etrafında toplandıklarını belirtmişlerdir. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
