Singing games are a piece of children's folklore that syncretise four aspects of music: composing, singing, playing and movement. Practicing singing games satisfies children's need for movement in every encounter with music. Movement and singing are inseparable as parts of singing games. The goal of this study was to analyse singing games according to tonality, melody range of singing games, time, rhythm and the rules and ways of conducting the games in accordance to children's age groups. The analysis has shown that most of the games are in the key of C major and D major in all children's age groups. It has also shown that the range of melodies of the singing games for young children's age group is in rage of fourth (e1 to a1), for middle children's age group in rage of sixth (d1 to a1Ih1), and for older children's age group is in rage of octave (c1 to c2).. Most of the singing games are insimple measure, 2/4 time. The most common way of conducting the games is in dancing wheel formation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
