Vertical ties between manufacturers and retailers, within the EU market, continue to be a source of policy debate. In this Article, the specifics of the vertical restraints to the EU competition are presented, the EU approach, as well as the US approach dealing with this important issue. After identifying most of the vertical restraints of competition within the EU, quite logically, at the end of this article we are confronted with the legal remedies and the institutional approach towards potential restrictions and distortions of competition of the internal market of European Union.
