City is an ever living and developing organism; and is shaped by humans. Like every living organism city also have their own identities which they have brought with themselves from the past to the present day. When explaining identifications of cities; the ability to fully analyse aspects such as the natural data of the city, it's social shape and the impact of this reaction over the creation of the artificial habitat. Things that city owe; it's characteristics, can also change over the historical context. Some cities might get over the negative effects of this transformation with developing consciousness; yet some cities are seriously effects with such negative effects due to the lack of this consciousness. One of the structural conditions that are important in the development of cities is road systems. Road systems in Istanbul are developing very seriously. Road systems are a significant development in the development of urban centers. All the road systems of Istanbul are analysed. Developed an alternative system proposal. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
