The process of a social and psychological adaptation of the first-year student requires special attention and appropriate support and assistance, due to the emergence of many problems in the first days of his studies at the University. This function and responsibilities are performed by institutional academic units, including the tutor, who as a mentor must not only provide the necessary individual support to each student in his education, but also to influence the social education of the future pedagogue. The development shares many years of experience with a proven model of a tutor, working not only as a mentor but also a social pedagogue and psychologist and make suggestions for improving the quality of work in successful socio-psychological adaptation and training of students.
