Ensuring intravenously to patients for therapeutic purposes is an important component of their treatment. For the success of providing a peripheral venous source various factors have been derived that influence the effective performance of this manipulation. The aim of the study is to examine the perceptions of nurses about the factors associated with the effective placement of a perioral venous source from the point of view of efficacy and safety of patients. A survey was conducted during the period from February 2019 to March 2019 in several hospitals for active treatment in Blagoevgrad. selected a random sample of 42 nurses working in hospital wards with different domains: surgical, therapeutic, intensive, pediatric and neurological nurse. The study provides information on the most commonly used methods and procedures in this invasive procedure. They confirm that in their practice they have encountered difficulties and failures in the provision of IV canulation, for various reasons. This study focuses on finding alternatives to difficulties, improving success rates, and reducing the incidence of complications. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
