The years 1735 - 1744 in the history of Trenčín and the Jesuit college were a sign of peace and development. The Jesuit College in Trenčín, „collegium & domu probationis Trenchiniensis", operated after 1715, ergo after the end of the last uprising, without interruption and major problems. The city of Trenčín did not fully recover from the events of the war and epidemics in this period, and it was also very indebted. Debts also increased in the following period. As the Jesuit order spread, so did the number of its members. The presented article brings us informations about fraters who spent their novitiate in Trenčín in selected years. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
