In Lithuania, forwarders or universal and agricultural tractors with self-loading forest trailers are used to extract felling waste and firewood. The article presents research on the work cycle of the forwarder Ponsse Buffalo 8W, extracting felling waste and firewood from different habitats. The work cycle of a forwarder was investigated at the green felling lot of wood at the Ncs habitats and at the Lbl habitats at the B. Labanauskas case felling. It was found that the dependence of the driver’s driving time with a load and empty on the transportation distance of felling waste or firewood is linear. The work cycle structure of the Ponsse Buffalo was found to have little effect on the type of habitats, as the empty travel time when extracting firewood was 240 ± 54 s or 8.5% (Ncs site) and 251 ± 85 s or 8.4% (Lbl site). ) from the complete cycle time, load time 1837 ± 134 s or 64.9% and 1909 ± 185 s or 64.3%, respectively, driving with a load 182 ± 45 s or 6.4% and 202 ± 63 s or 6.8% and the unloading time is 572 ± 21 s or 20.2% and 609 ± 17 s or 20.5%. With the removal of the felling waste, the empty travel time was 186 ± 34 s or 11% (Ncs site) and 235 ± 39 s or 13.6% (Lbl site), the load time was 1015 ± 81 s or 60.3% and 1043 ± 39 s or 60,5%, driving with a load time 267 ± 32 s or 15.9% and 228 ± 35 s or 13.2%, respectively, and the unloading time 216 ± 21 s or 12.8% respectively, and 217 ± 12 s or 12.6%.
