Obesity is a condition where there is an abnormal or excess accumulation of fat in the body that is stored in adipose tissue. Obesity will affect adiponectin secretion. C-reactive protein is a globulin synthesized by hepatocytes, the production of CRP is induced by interleukin-6, interleukin-1 and tumor necrosis factor, which will then be secreted into the blood. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between inflammation and disorders of carbohydrate metabolism and lipid metabolism and to obtain data on High Sensitivity C-Reactive Protein levels as a marker of inflammation, blood glucose levels to assess impaired metabolism of glucose, cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL to assess lipid metabolism disorders. and knowing the relationship between High Sensitivity C-Reactive Protein with blood glucose and lipid profiles (total cholesterol, triglycerides and LDL) in obese students of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Pancasila University. This study was conducted using an observational method with a study design cross-sectional with consecutive sampling where the researchers measured obesity indicators (weight, height, waist circumference), C-Reactive Protein (CRP) levels and lipid profile. The statistical tests used in this study were Kolmogorov Smirnov, Leaven's test and Spearman's. Characteristics of respondents based on body mass index parameters obtained at 27.54 kg/m². The frequency distribution on the gender parameter is the most with female sex as much as 74.1%. The average abdominal circumference is 91.97 cm. It is known that on average 48.1% of obese pharmacy students experienced hyperglycemia, 48.1% had hypercholeterolemia, 37% hypertriglyceridemia, 88.9% hyperbetalipoprotenemia and 29.6% students had hs-CRP levels > 3 mg/L. There was a significant relationship between hs-CRP and body mass index (r = 0.503 and p = 0.007) and a significant relationship was also found between body mass index and diastolic blood pressure (r = 0.506 and p = 0.007). Obesitas merupakan keadaan dimana terjadi ketidaknormalan atau kelebihan akumulasi lemak dalam tubuh yang disimpan dalam jaringan adiposa. Keadaan obesitas akan mempengaruhi sekresi adiponektin. C-reactive protein merupakan suatu globulin yang disintesis oleh hepatosit, produksi CRP ini diinduksi oleh interleukin-6, interleukin-1 dan tumor necrosis factor α, yang kemudian akan disekresi ke dalam darah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara inflamasi dengan gangguan metabolisme karbohidrat dan metabolisme lipid serta mendapatkan data kadar High Sensitivity C-Reactive Protein sebagai penanda inflamasi, Kadar glukosa darah untuk menilai gangguan metabolisme glukosa, sedangkan kolesterol, trigliserida, LDL untuk menilai gangguan metabolisme lipid dan mengetahui hubungan antara High Sensitivity CReactive Protein dengan glukosa darah dan profil lipid (kolesterol total, trigliserida dan LDL) pada mahasiswa obesitas Fakultas Farmasi Universitas Pancasila. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode observasional dengan rancangan penelitian cross sectional dengan pengambilan data secara consecutive sampling dimana peneliti melalukan pengukuran terhadap indikator obesitas (berat badan, tinggi badan, lingkar pinggang) kadar C-Reactive Protein (CRP) dan profil lipid. Uji statisitik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Kolmogorov smirnov, Leaven test dan Spearman. Karakteristik responden berdasarkan parameter indeks massa tubuh didapatkan sebesar 27.54 kg/m2. Distribusi frekuensi pada parameter jenis kelamin yang paling banyak dengan jenis kelamin perempuan sebanyak 74,1%. Rerata lingkar perut sebesar 91.97 cm. Diketahui rata-rata 48,1% mahasiswa obesitas fakultas farmasi mengalami hiperglikemia, 48,1% mengalami hip erkoleterolemia, 37% hipertrigliseridemia, 88,9% hiperbetalipoprotenemia dan 29,6% mahasiswa memiliki kadar hs-CRP > 3 mg/L. Terdapat hubungan bermakna antara hsCRP dan indeks massa tubuh (r = 0.503 dan p = 0.007) serta didapatkan juga hubungan bermakna antara indeks massa tubuh dan tekanan darah diastolik (r= 0.506 dan p = 0.007). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa indeks massa tubuh (IMT) berkolerasi dengan hsCRP dan tekanan darah diastolik. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
