The sources, compositions, and classification of electroplating sludge were analyzed. The relationship between the type of electroplating process and the treatment method of the sludge produced therefrom was discussed. Some technologies for extracting metals from electroplating sludge and the materialization techniques based on them were described. It is believed that a promising way to treat electroplating sludge is to make it into high-performance materials. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
