Nephrolithiasis is a frequent condition among adults, but in the last decade is found more often in childhood. Bulgaria is an endemic country for this disease. In 40-50% of nephrolithiasis in children is associated with metabolic disturbances (hypercalciuria, hyperoxaluria, hypocitraturia, cystinuria and hyperuricosuria). Another predisposing factors include: anomalies of the urinary tract, diet, low intake of water, some medications ( Vit. C, vit. D, Isoprinosin, Sulfametoxazol/Trimetoprim and others). The purpose of this paper is to show our experience with Solidagoren in prophylaxis and treatment for nephrolithiasis in children in 47 patients for a period of 12 months. The results showed clinical, laboratory and ultrasound improvement with lowering the frequency of the urinary tract infections in the observed patients. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
