Fiction written after the formation of Pakistan is called modern urdu fiction. Modern urdu fiction is not only the name of symbolism and abstraction, but also the distance from outdated traditions and ideas in the hallmark of modern urdu fiction. In fact modern urdu fiction is the name of a trend in which there is an open rebellion against the prevailing rules and regulation, form and technical principles. The writer and literature are related to society. Literary creations reflect the events and changes that take place in society. In the twentieth century, scientific inventions influenced cultural values, in particular. The arrival of British in India had a detrimental effect on the culture of this region. The narcissism, selfishness and carnage that resulted from the partition of India also affected positive human values. In addition martial law in Pakistan also contributed to the change of cultural values. All these changing cultural values are reflected in modern Pakistani fiction. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
