A recent study conducted at the University of Sao Paulo (USP) in Brazil compared the prognostic performance of the Fisher and modified Fisher scales for patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage. The study reviewed 172 patients who were followed up for 6 months. The results showed that only the Fisher scale was associated with mortality, while neither scale was associated with unfavorable functional outcomes. This research provides valuable insights into the prediction of mortality and functional outcomes in patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage. [Extracted from the article]
