La farmacovigilanza: survey fra il personale infermieristico di un ospedale italiano durante pandemia. (Italian)

Background. During the current SARS-Cov-2 pandemic, a large number of drugs was used in off-label way in patients with COVID-19 and Pharmacovigilance reporting was important to ascertain their safety. Objectives. to analyse the attitude towards Pharmacovigilance, with particular regard to anti-COVID-19 drugs, by the nursing staff of a teaching hospital in Milan. Design. Descriptive observational study - prevalence at the Foundation IRCCS Ca' Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico in Milan. Methods. A questionnaire created ad hoc to investigate level of participation, knowledge about Pharmacovigilance and demographical features of participants. STROBE was used as checklist reporting of this research. Results. 92.5% of participants said it is not duty of all healthcare professionals to report ADR/side effects. 83.78% of nurses who provided effective care to COVID patients demonstrated that they were aware of the existence of internal hospital guidelines for the use of anti-COVID-19 drugs. 40% of those who administered anti-COVID-19 therapy reported the presence of side effects. Finally, 96.67% of participants said that more frequent training sessions on drugs would be needed and 90.51% express the need for specific training on new drugs and their safety. Conclusions. Participants showed unexplored skills in Pharmacovigilance but also a desire for drug training and responses revealed and a specific need for training in the field of Pharmacovigilance. Introduzione. Durante la pandemia da SARS-Cov-2, un ampio numero di farmaci è stato utilizzato in modalità off-label verso pazienti COVID-19 e il reporting della Farmacovigilanza è stato fondamentale per accertarne la loro sicurezza. Obiettivi. Analizzare l'atteggiamento nei confronti della Farmacovigilanza, con particolare riguardo ai farmaci anti-COVID-19, da parte del personale infermieristico di un ospedale universitario di Milano. Metodi. Un questionario creato ad hoc per indagare il livello di partecipazione, esplorare la conoscenza della Farmacovigilanza e le caratteristiche demografiche dei partecipanti. STROBE è stato utilizzato come lista di controllo per la segnalazione di questa ricerca. Risultati. Il 92,5% dei partecipanti ha affermato che non è dovere di tutti gli operatori sanitari segnalare ADR/effetti collaterali. L'83,78% degli infermieri che hanno assistito direttamente pazienti COVID ha mostrato di essere a conoscenza dell'esistenza di linee guida interne all'ospedale per l'uso di farmaci anti-COVID-19. Il 40% di coloro che hanno somministrato terapia anti-COVID-19 ha riportato la presenza di effetti collaterali. Infine, il 96,67% dei partecipanti ha affermato che sarebbero necessarie sessioni di formazione più frequenti sui farmaci e il 90,51% esprime la necessità di una formazione specifica sui nuovi farmaci e sulla loro sicurezza. Conclusioni. i partecipanti hanno mostrato competenze inesplorate in Farmacovigilanza ma anche un desiderio di formazione sui farmaci e le risposte suggeriscono una specifica necessità di formazione nel campo della Farmacovigilanza.
