Sexual hybridization in the vine is considered the safest and most reliable method of obtaining new dessert and wine vines, resistant to stressors (low winter temperatures, mildew, oidium and pests). The Institute of Vine and Wine Producing – Pleven by this method a group of wine and dessert vine varieties are created and approved, which in quality of the grapes and wines do not differ significantly from that obtained from varieties belonging to Vitis vinifera L. The comparative agrobiological study of 27 elite hybrid forms was conducted. The data from the mechanical analysis show that the specific tasting characteristics of the studied elite interspecific dessert hybrid forms present them as suitable for consumption in a fresh state, and the seedless ones for raisin production. All meet the standard requirements for dessert varieties. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
