A study conducted by researchers at the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom examined the use of cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) in older patients with chronic heart failure. The study found that older patients who received CRT had comparable outcomes to younger patients, despite having a greater burden of co-morbidities and receiving less optimal medical therapy. The researchers concluded that CRT can be beneficial for older patients and supports its use in an aging population. The study was published in the journal Age and Ageing.
