The Interdisciplinary Journal of Problem-based Learning has published a collection of seven articles in its latest issue. These articles cover a range of topics related to problem-based learning (PBL) in various disciplines and educational contexts. The articles include confirmatory research that tests the impacts of PBL, exploratory research that investigates new issues in PBL, and methodological research that explores alternative inquiry tools and methods for PBL research. The studies come from researchers around the world, including Israel, Sri Lanka, the USA, and Vietnam, and they demonstrate the positive effects of PBL on critical thinking, problem-solving skills, civic engagement, and interdisciplinary learning. The journal also calls for more research on the social and cultural contexts of PBL, as well as factors that influence students' PBL processes. [Extracted from the article]
