In this research article, our primary objective is to pinpoint the environmental and ecological challenges arising from the development of China’s "One Belt One Road" initiative, encompassing concerns related to energy, transportation, and logistics, along with the adverse effects on ecosystems and biodiversity. Furthermore, we seek to highlight the potential environmental tribulations confronting Mongolia within the tri-country economic corridor infrastructure project. This investigation is grounded in studies from international bodies and scholarly research findings. Our research indicates that the economic corridor, involving Mongolia, China, and Russia, emerges as an environmentally sensitive zone, susceptible to risks including those posed by climate change. Through this approach, Mongolia can establish a tripartite environmental cooperation mechanism that aligns with its green development policy, thereby facilitating long-term economic stability.
