In order for tourism in Republika Srpska to grow and achieve success on a more competitive international tourism market, it is crucial to ensure a favourable environment that will encourage local entrepreneurship, result in the attraction of domestic and foreign investments and guarantee the protection of nature and cultural assets. Media communication about the importance of tourism, how to improve regulations, attract investments, invest in infrastructure and ensure the well-being of communities is the main task in planning sustainable tourism. For accelerated growth and development of tourism and improvement of competitiveness in the RS, certain priorities and measures must be implemented in the coming time. The RS Government's policy for achieving social and economic progress is key to determining the size, form and nature of investment. How to protect visitors, residents, investors and cultural and natural assets is the focus of a strong legal and regulatory framework. All these aspects together represent a cross-sectoral pillar of a favourable environment for sustainable rural tourism. Since tourism is a related activity, strong cooperation of all subjects in the tourism industry, public, private and civil sector is necessary. Tourism requires close cooperation between public and private entities and, what is equally important, working relations between ministries and strong cooperation between and with the private sector, but also with the media, because without the media you cannot find out about rural tourism. During consultations and public discussions on tourism in general, the public and private sectors have noticed that local communities or policy makers have not given enough importance to the tourism industry, and therefore more needs to be done to raise the understanding of the value of tourism to local development. "The tourism sector is invisible" was a comment that received general agreement in the focus group meetings. That is why awareness of promoting the value and benefits of primarily rural tourism is very much needed. Da bi turizam u Republici Srpskoj rastao i ostvario uspjeh na konkurentnijem međunarodnom tržištu turizma, ključno je osigurati povoljno okruženje koje će poticati lokalno poduzetništvo, rezultirati privlačenjem domaćih i stranih ulaganja i osigurati zaštitu prirode i kulturnih dobara. Medijsko komuniciranje o važnosti turizma, načinu poboljšanja propisa, privlačenju investicija, ulaganju u infrastrukturu i osiguravanju dobrobiti zajednica je glavni zadatak u planiranju održivog turizma. Za ubrzan rast i razvoj turizma i poboljšanje konkurentnost u Republici Srpskoj, u predstojećem vremenu moraju da se realizirati određeni prioriteti i mjere. Politika Vlade Republike Srpske za postizanje društveno-ekonomskog napretka ključnih je za određivanje veličine, oblika i prirode ulaganja. Kako zaštititi posjetitelje, stanovnike, ulagače te kulturna i prirodna dobra fokus je snažnog pravnog i regulatornog okvira. Svi ovi elementi zajedno predstavljaju među-sektorski stup povoljnog okruženja za održivi seoski turizam. Budući da je turizam povezana djelatnost, neophodna je snažna suradnja svih subjekata u industriji turizma, javnog, privatnog i civilnog sektora. Turizam zahtijeva blisku suradnju između javnih i privatnih subjekata i što je jednako važno, radne odnose između ministarstava i snažnu suradnju između i s privatnim sektorom, ali i s medijima jer bez medija se ne može saznati za ruralni turizam. Tijekom konzultacija i javnih rasprava o turizmu uopće, javni i privatni sektor su primijetili da lokalne zajednice ili kreatori politika nisu dali dovoljno značaja industriji turizma, te je stoga potrebno učiniti više kako bi se razumijevanje vrijednosti turizma za lokalni razvoj podiglo na viši nivo. "Sektor turizma je nevidljiv" bio je komentar koji je dobio opću suglasnost na sastancima fokus grupa. Zato je svijest o promoviranju vrijednosti i koristi prvenstveno seoskog turizma itekako potrebna. Kako bi se ubrzao rast i poboljšala konkurentnost turizma Republike Srpske, u nadolazećem razdoblju moraju se realizirati određeni prioriteti i mjere. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
