The pretreatment of cotton yarn using a modified method with peroxide and zeolite has significantly improved key properties. The enhanced sequestering and wetting, along with zeolite's effective adsorption for oil and chemicals, contribute to increased whiteness index, absorption, and oil removal. Zeolite treatment also shows very good dyeing properties, with dyed yarns exhibiting higher K/S values. Evaluation of CIE Lab values for indigo-dyed yarns indicates a brighter and bluer shade in zeolite-treated samples. In summary, the modified zeolite method is a promising approach, enhancing cotton yarn dyeing properties and reducing caustic consumption. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
