A systematic review conducted by researchers from Griffith University in Australia examined the methods used to measure the quality of life (QoL) and well-being of autistic individuals. The review analyzed 256 studies and found that the quality of the studies varied. The majority of studies used generic measures of QoL and well-being, and there was underrepresentation of autistic individuals with intellectual impairment and communication disorders. The researchers concluded that more accessible and inclusive research is needed to better understand the experiences of autistic individuals. The study was supported by Autism CRC and has been peer-reviewed. [Extracted from the article]
