A study conducted by Acibadem University in Adana, Turkey, examined the efficacy of different oral hygiene regimens in preventing chemotherapy-induced oral mucositis in pediatric patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. The study divided 171 patients into three groups, each receiving a different treatment: a mouthwash mixture, hyaluronic acid, or a solution of sodium bicarbonate.
