The article discusses the study that examines the decreases in ambient air pollution loads in vehicles after requiring the use of compressed natural gas (CNG) rather than diesel or gasoline in Mumbai, India. Relative to environmental issues, the United Nations sponsored an international conference on environment and development known as the "Earth Summit." Moreover the Kyoto Protocol has required the industrialized countries to reduce greenhouse gas emissions which mainly contributed to climate change. It discusses the characteristics and advantages of CNG as an alternative fuel. Information regarding the findings and conclusions in the study conducted are discussed.
