This article focuses on the statement issued by the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) on advanced nursing practice. According to the RCN statement, there are compelling grounds for the regulation and standardisation of advanced nursing practice for both patient safety and public protection. It points out the need to revalidate advanced levels of nursing.
