The article discusses a study by Frank P. Strietzel and colleagues, which evaluated an intraoral electrostimulation device in the treatment of xerostomia due to Sjögren's syndrome and other sicca conditions. The study examined the efficacy and safety of the device, and concluded that daily use helped increased salivary output, and helped alleviate oral dryness and other xerostomia complications.
