One of the main issues from the point of wiev of the translation from Russian into Czech linked with the topic of "Railway Transport" is the vocabulary connected with the classification of railway carriages. The problems are caused first of all by that circumstance that the railway fleets on Russian and Czech railways are very dissimilar. Various possibilities of adequate translation of the names of different types of carriages for personal transport are presented in the article. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
