A retrospective case-control study conducted at Jiangxi Province People's Hospital in China aimed to identify risk factors associated with arytenoid dislocation (AD) in patients who underwent liver transplantation. The study included 476 patients who underwent liver transplantation between January 2013 and December 2022, with 17 (3.57%) experiencing AD. The study found that prolonged tracheal intubation in the ICU was independently associated with the occurrence of AD in patients who underwent liver transplantation. The research suggests that prolonged tracheal intubation in the ICU may be a possible risk factor for AD after liver transplant surgery. [Extracted from the article]
