Researchers from Al-Azhar University have conducted a study on the biological activities of a biosynthesized starch/silver-selenium nanocomposite. The nanocomposite was successfully synthesized using a specific strain of Cladosporium cladosporioides. The researchers found that the nanocomposite exhibited promising anticancer activity against human colorectal carcinoma and human breast cancer cell lines, as well as antioxidant activity and antimicrobial properties. The study concludes that the biosynthesized nanocomposite has potential applications in various fields. [Extracted from the article]
