The article profiles American cartoonist Wallace Wood, who was born in Menahga, Minnesota on June 17, 1927. Wood attended one term at Burne Hogarth's Cartoonists and Illustrators in New York in 1948, where he met E.C. artists John Severin and Roy Krenkel. He worked with science fiction author Harry Harrison to create several comics that were published by Fox and Avon. He also worked with Joe Orlando, and together they turned out works for E.C., Avon, Fox and Youthful Magazines.
