In the first article, I dealt with the letters exchanged between Nguyen Hoang, Nguyen Phuc Nguyen Lords and Tokugawa Ieyasu shogun (Japan). In this article, I try to bring into the public the exchanged letters between Le\Trinh Government and Japanese Government. Because I have not yet classified the letters, so I just introduce them in a numbering order. Three points are emphasized here: There were a lot of the reciprocal letters between Le King and Tokugawa Shogun (not only 3 letters as mentioned by Le Du); The dates of the above-mentioned letters essentially belonged to the early periods of the 17th century (around 1606-34); Trading goods between Tonkin and Edo Bakufu were not very different as compared to Cochinchina’s in fact, the same gifts were exchanged; Through these letters we can understand better the background of a special event in Tonkinese and Edo Bakufu diplomatic relations. All above-analyzed letters in fact were left behind precious values in studying on the Vietnamese and Japanese trade relations of that time. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
